When fools feigt, smart people make money

WHEN FOOLS FIGHT, SMART PEOPLE MAKE MONEY!

In the final stages of Gorbachev's Perestroika,
when the process of the collapse
of the USSR had already begun,
when on Moscow's Red Square
supporters of the country's democratization
clashed in fierce opposition with their opponents,
scuffles broke out between them,
or between them and law enforcement.
From all corners of the capital,
tanker trucks loaded with kvass
and trailers converged on Red Square.
Then the kvass vendors' motto arose:
"When fools fight,
 smart people make money."

And after more than
a quarter of a century,
the entire globe has become a likeness
of the Red Square of those days. -
The peoples of many countries
have become embroiled
in wars with no end in sight.
The motto of those kvass sellers
Suddenly became the motto of arms sellers
And everything related to war
And it rises sharply in price
in a warlike environment,
And has acquired international status:
"When fools fight,
smart people forge money!" -

"When fools fight,

Лев ПОСТОЛОВ

КОГДА ДУРАКИ ДЕРУТСЯ-
УМНЫЕ ДНЬГУ КУЮТ!

На финишном этапе
Горбачевской ПерестройкИ,
Когда пошел уже процесс
Развала СССР,
Когда на Красной Площади Москвы
Сходились в яростном противостоянье
Сторонники ДемократизациИ страны
С ее противниками и разгорались
Потасовки между ними,
Или ими и ОМОНом,
Со всех концов столицы
К Красной площади съезжались
Автоцистерны с квасом да с прицепами.
Тогда возник девиз торговцев квасом:
«Когда дураки дерутся,-
 умные делают деньги».

А по прошествии с тех пор
Поболее, чем четверть века,
Весь Шар Земной подобием стал
Красной площади тех дней. -
Народы многих стран ввязались
В войны, которым и конца
Близко не видно.
Девиз тех кваса продавцов
Стал вдруг девизом продавцов оружия
Да и всего, что связано с войной
И дорожает резко в обстановке воен,
И приобрел международный статус:
«Когда дерутся дураки,
 умные деньгУ куЮт!», -
«When fools fight,
 smart people forge money!».
