Когда жить стали восемьдесят тысяч
Уменьшенных, от страстности их, лет -
То стали сочетаться, чтоб родиться,
Хоть раньше им хватало лишь смотреть.

И солнце, и луна здесь появились,
Кору древес и хлопок стали есть,
Совсем уже утратили светимость.
И ели жир земли, но жадность, спесь

Съестные истощили их запасы -
К Возделыванью риса перешли,
Но ненавись и "я-мое" превратность
И рис до истощенья довели.

Тогда как "Проявленье Состраданья"
Родился в матке - сын десяти лет,
И тысячу якшей учил он знанью,
В Одиннадцати тантрах дал им Свет.

When they lived just for eighty thousand years,
diminished thanks to passion - they began
To use coition for their begetting,
Though previously they needed only eyes.

The sun and moon appeared in this epoch,
They started to eat cotton and tree bark,
They had completely lost their luminosity.
They ate the earth fat, but greed, arrogance

Depleted all reserves of their food store -
They switched to cultivation of the rice,
But hatred and the perversity of "I-mine"
Exhausted rice as well, they came to fight.

And then "Manifestation of Compassion"
was born from womb - a ten years-old boy,
He taught his knowledge to a thousand yakshas,
In his Eleven Tantras let them know.
