Ahead of Time

Time, it just zooms by, doesn't it? You know how everyone has these "expected" things at different ages? Like, you're supposed to be sipping milk, then taking your first steps, then saying your first word, then kindergarten, then school, and on and on. But some people just don't fit into that neat little box, haha. I'm one of them. At your service, LOL.

I actually know a few people who are way ahead of their time. And one of them is my sister. I'm not even going to talk about all those science olympiads she won when she was ten, even the international ones for all sorts of subjects. But now she's sixteen, and most of the kids her age are doing… well, stuff. Meanwhile, she’s already shining in commercials, starting to take on the world, and at the same time, she's deeply into photography. She's learning, and she already knows how to be a model, and when she gets behind the camera, she knows exactly how to pose someone so they make the viewer feel things. You think that's easy? Try it. Everyone has a camera in their phone now. Try to imagine a whole scene in your head and then make it real.

So, what am I getting at? You’ve figured out by now that I’m not talking about the obvious stuff, right? The really special thing is this: we create pictures in our minds first, and then we share them with others. We make them real, like a scene you can photograph, and everyone sees it. Or, we describe them in words, which is a bit more delicate. The viewer isn't as passive; they have to work a little harder to picture what's being described, but they also become a co-creator. That's why I write more than I take pictures – it lets me connect more with people.

Oh, and my sister went to Artek too! She got that trip because she was so amazing at school!
