The Stork Conundrum

Sometimes, grown-ups are just hilarious. If I know what non-integrable functions are, and more importantly, why they can't be integrated, then it stands to reason there are other things I don't know. Obviously. I mean, the "don't know" is in quotes, you get it. Anyway, someone very clever once wrote, "In learning, multiplied knowledge brings multiplied sorrow." And I've totally experienced that firsthand. It really, truly works.

It all started when I was watching some movie, and they were talking about storks. Everything was all proper and serious, until it hit me. I started laughing so hard I could barely breathe. I kept asking, "Show me the stork!" probably a bunch of times. Then, Grandma, in her usual gruff way, asked, "What stork do you want me to show you?" And I, without thinking, blurted out, "You know, the one that made the baby and then ran away!" Oops. I totally gave myself away. So, about the sorrow part – let's just say I got a nice spanking that day. But on the bright side, I now have a fantastic joke that had my friends and I laughing so hard in the cafe, I almost choked on my soda.
