Sister Sync

My big sister… oh, I love her so, so, so much! Sometimes it feels like we’re practically the same person. Like, I’ll grab my sparkly unicorn keychain for my backpack, and then later, my sister will have hers on her purse, and we didn’t even talk about it! Or we’ll both pick out the same totally awesome playlist to listen to on the same night, without even planning it. It’s like we’re connected with invisible sparkly strings.

But then, we’re also different. We don’t look exactly alike, even though sometimes, when I see old pictures, our faces have the same little quirks. It’s funny! We… what’s the word? Oh yeah! We complement each other! That’s it. We’re like two puzzle pieces that fit just right.

I really, really, really love her! She’s the smartest person ever. She knows everything about everything. I could listen to her talk for hours and hours, and it would never get boring. She’s like a walking, talking encyclopedia, but way cooler.

Sometimes, we both have to deal with these super weird people who show up on our… our spaces. You know, the places online where we share our stuff. My sister has a super effective way of dealing with the really annoying ones. She’ll just… well, she’ll use some very strong words, and if they still don’t stop bothering her, she just sends a direct message to their wives saying, “Your husband is bothering me”. And guess what? It totally works!

Today, my own online space is starting to look… normal again. It’s like all the blurry, anonymous people are fading away, and I can see regular people I know reading my stuff. I’m so happy about that! And I have this feeling, like I need to make a joke. Sorry if it’s a little bit… much. But I’m allowed to be a little naughty! Maybe the kin of those strange characters finally figured out they were spying on children and made them stop. Or, even better, maybe they had a stroke while looking at those… 'PDF' sites. That would be the funniest thing ever. Hehehe.

P.S. Look at her! This is my older sister. I found this super secret picture of her. She’s fourteen here, all dressed up and looking in the mirror. She thinks she’s so grown up. I bet she was practicing her best poses. She always does that when she thinks no one is watching.  I know all her tricks. She’s got some really cool clothes though. Maybe someday I’ll get to borrow them.
