The Candle Still Burns

A single flame
Keeps burning slow,
Guiding us through the endless night…
And deep within,
A soul still seeks
The God who’ll lead it back to light.

And quiet words
Rise to the sky -
Somewhere above, He hears our plea.
It is His task
To help when called,
To lift the heart, to set it free.

For every word can heal,
For every word can rise,
Together we will build
A temple of truth inside.

So do not fade, O flame -
We walk this road alone,
For clouds may hide the heavens
And veil our sacred home.

For doing good -
We meet the dark.
For speaking truth -
We stand on trial.

Such is our fate,
Between all worlds,
Where shadows cross the longest mile.

But we ignite
Our little light,
Replace the batteries in our hearts,
We tear apart
The broken script -
A brand-new answer now restarts.

A temple of truth inside.
