Born in the Forest s Snow
In the forest, a little fir was born,
Where snowflakes dance upon the morn.
Through summer sun and winter’s chill,
She stood serene upon the hill.
The snowflakes whisper soft and low:
“Rest easy, little fir, and grow.”
Frosty winds embrace her tight,
Protecting through the long, cold night.
A gentle bunny hops so near -
Unafraid, no cause for fear.
Sometimes a wolf with eyes of night
Would cross the forest, out of sight.
Now children gather round,
Their voices sweet and bound.
They festoon her with cheer and light -
Our Christmas tree, a joyful sight!
A sleigh glides through the silent snow,
Its bells ringing a merry row.
The woodsman takes the fir with care -
To town, where joy will soon be there.
And now she stands in glowing light,
A beacon of the festive night.
She brings delight and warmth so deep -
Our Christmas joy, so pure and steep.
Under starlit skies, so clear and vast,
Her gentle glow outshines the past.
In every home her lights entwine -
A symbol bright of love divine.
O children, gather near,
Let joyful hearts appear.
She fills the world with cheer and light -
Our Christmas star, our winter bright!
