Good morning! Welcome to our fairytale!
Everybody knows this fairytale in Russian!
Read «The Turnip» in English! The Grandfather
planted a turnip. The turnip grew very big! May be the biggest in the world!
-Good morning! I am a grandfather.
Oh! What a big turnip!
One, two, three! I can’t pull the turnip out of the ground! Grandmother! Help me!
-Good morning! I am a grandmother. Let us pull the turnip out of the ground!
One, two, three! Oh! We can’t pull the turnip
out of the ground! Granddaughter! Help us!
-Good morning! I am a granddaughter! I am ready to help you!
One, two, three! Dog Zhuchka! Help us!
-Good morning! I am dog Zhuchka! I can help you! One, two, three! Cat Murka! Help us!
-Good morning! I am cat Murka! I can help you!
One, two, three! Mouse! Help us!
-Good morning! I am a mouse! I can help you!
One, two, three! Oh! We have pulled the turnip out of the ground!
Everybody says:
«Thank you, mouse!»
The mouse answers: «You are welcome!»
The grandfahter says: «We have worked together! And we are good friends! Now let us sing a song and dance!»

Everybody sings. And everybody dances after the song. They dance in a circle. The grandfather dances squatting in the middle of the round dance.
