Lost in the echo of a life left behind

The stars won't speak
They forget our name
No fire no chains no knife to the bone
Just silence screaming you're alone
Welcome to limbo
Where the clocks don’t turn
Where the virtuous sigh and the heavens spurn
No light no dark just a hollow space
An endless pause in a timeless place
Charon waits but his boat won't sway
We’re stranded here where the skies stay gray
A laugh half-formed dissolves in the air
We chase it down but it’s never there
No flames no frost no thorns to the skin
Just sorrow circling deep within
