Faith, Hope, Love
I' ve never known, I' ve never guessed,
That I would start my life again,
And Mother Russia'll be my nest.
Hold in both palms June cherries' bloom,
My Lake of Hope in the edge is glum,
And in its depth so queer and pure,
Both Love and Faith that my heart's due.
Could ever find them, could someday see,
In the dark mire of life's swirling spree?
What lies ahead, I can't be sure,
But that is what makes the whole life non cruel.
Every day is unique, like a precious gem,
Like the Ocean's wave where a saltwater's flowing,
Made of tears of joy and drops of grief,
In the end to the sky it is going!
There will wait the robe of golden rays,
Faith'll be on my right, and on my left Hope,
They will take my blood and it will blaze!
And put it where eternal Love's home
Right to His feet at His altar's crest!
