A winter morning

Sunshine and frost. The day is charming.
And you are still asleep, my darling.
Wake up, my beautiful. You are
To cease your sleepy eyes confining
Your sight, and with Aurora's shining
You'll be another northern star.

Remember yester blizzard's whirring,
Up in the sky the haze was stirring,
The moon just like a faded stain
In gloomy clouds was shining badly,
As you were sitting here so sadly.
And now... Please, take a look again:

You'll see beneath the heaven's brightness
The winter carpet’s gentle whiteness –
Today the shining snow is back.
You'll see the pines in green and silver,
And gleaming ice upon the river,
And tiny forest all in black.

The room is kind of amber-sparkling
And something in the oven's crackling –
The sound of burnin' logs, of course.
Right here the feeling's getting fervent
But how about we tell the servant
To harness up a sorrel horse?

Enjoy this morning snow and weather!
My dearest friend, let's come together.
Impatient horse will ride away...
Among the trees the path to follow,
Across the fields, unfilled and hollow,
Towards my lovely river bay.
