To fix this world, no one has found the way

I watch this world with every passing day,
And sorrow fills my heart with heavy sighs.
Where hungry beggars still for food must pray,
While rulers hoard where golden treasure lies.

So many ills that carry souls away –
Our children, loved ones vanish in the strife.
And wars that turn lives into ashes day by day,
Bring endless grief to every single life.

In peace, it seems, the people cannot stay,
They sow dissent like seeds upon the ground.
And old age comes to fray our life's array,
Changing our bodies, fading without sound.

Yes, age that comes to change the face we wear,
It only brings us bitterness and pain.
This world is but a mirage of despair,
A fleeting vision none shall long retain.

And so I think this world of fading light
Is not worth all the tears that have been shed.
No one will give an answer in the night,
While righteous fury burns the soul instead.

My hope is placed in God alone,
He will change the earth, His power shown.
No force of man can block His plan,
God’s love will shield creation’s span.

My hope is placed in God’s great hand,
He will destroy this unjust stand.
On earth His kingdom shall appear,
I know that new world will be here.

To fix this world, no one has found the way,
Though many tried, believing in the light.
I have seen many roads, and I must say,
My only hope is God to set things right.
