You Were My Rebellion
Shattered chains beneath the moon,
Cries that echoed far too soon,
Wings of fire fueled the tune -
You were my rebellion, wild and strewn.
Iron blood and restless years,
Freedom blazing through our fears.
You were my rebellion, fierce and true,
Raging storms I wandered through,
Tore apart the world I knew,
For ashes bright with something new -
You were my rebellion, born of you.
Broken rules and whispered lies,
Falling stars in reckless skies,
Every law I'd dared despise,
Came undone in your defiant eyes.
Iron blood and restless years,
Freedom blazing through our fears.
You were my rebellion, fierce and true,
Raging storms I wandered through,
Tore apart the world I knew,
For ashes bright with something new -
You were my rebellion, born of you.
Midnight rides and battle cries,
Hope defiant never dies,
Bound by flames that never ties,
We stood strong as empires rise.
If I could turn my fate around,
Build anew from shattered ground,
Would you still be glory-bound,
Or leave me where the lost are found?
Now the silence gently calls,
Painted shadows on the walls,
In the dark my spirit sprawls -
You were my rebellion when all else falls.
