Dragons We Became
Crumbling towers, midnight’s gleam,
Fear and fire thread every seam,
Bound by scars and ancient shame -
From mortal coil, dragons we became.
Wings of vengeance, hearts ignite,
Born of ashes in the night.
Dragons we became, rising from the flame,
Searing all the pain we could not tame,
Once we crawled through dark and blame,
Now the world will know our name -
Dragons we became.
Chains were broken through the storm,
Talons bared and hearts reborn,
All our weakness now transformed,
Forged in chaos, never scorned.
Wings of vengeance, hearts ignite,
Born of ashes in the night.
Dragons we became, rising from the flame,
Searing all the pain we could not tame,
Once we crawled through dark and blame,
Now the world will know our name -
Dragons we became.
Golden scales conceal the past,
Bitterness and doubt surpassed,
Every shadow breathed our last,
Fire’s glory built to last.
If skies should tremble at our flight,
Would you stand beside the light?
Or fear the power of our might -
As dragons soaring out of night?
Night is fading, dawn’s acclaim,
Still our hearts recall the same,
In legend’s forge, the wild became -
Dragons rising from the flame.
