I laugh while sorrow whispers in my soul

I think of good, of kindness ever glowing,
Of things that build, not crumble into dust.
Yet pain, at times, becomes a burden showing,
And tears arise unbidden as they must.
I know I’m not alone upon this earth,
And faith, my shield, protects me from despair.
A strength divine sustains my inner worth,
And lifts my soul with gentle, healing care.

I laugh while sorrow whispers in my soul,
I smile although my heart is steeped in ache.
Let pain release its grip, not take its toll,
Nor drain my spirit till it starts to break.
Though storms of life may bend me to the ground,
And try to crush my will with ruthless might,
Hope’s gentle flame within me still is found,
And guides me through the darkness with its light.

Like fireflies that flicker in the night,
I fight the gloom that claws my soul apart.
Like frost-kissed blooms that cling with silent fight,
I brave the wind with courage in my heart.
I’ll rise above the trials deep inside,
Through thorns I’ll carve my path with strength anew.
With faith and hope as victors at my side,
I’ll burn the pain and walk the storm right through
