Rock n Roll Forever
Strong in heart and limb,
Dancing through the night with glee,
Life was bright and brim.
In the ‘70s, loud and bold,
Rock was all we knew,
Jumping to that rhythm gold,
Every note we drew.
Bell-bottoms swayed, skirts were tight,
Woodstock’s fields we’d roam,
Laughing in the neon light,
Making love our home.
Smoke would curl in hazy rings,
Love was ours to share,
Every song had fiery wings,
Floating through the air.
Now the years have slowed our pace,
Tunes have changed their sound,
But those chords we still embrace-
Feet can’t stay ground-bound!
Rock ‘n’ roll will never die,
It’s the beat of time,
Dance it till the stars reply-
Joy’s the sweetest rhyme!
