Ethereal Fores

In fields where balms and wildflowers breathe,
Where twilight hums through rustling leaves,
We lie — our hands flung open to the sky,
And drift where dreaming spirits fly.

Through shadowed pines where dusk is deep,
We trade a glance — too full to speak.
For one brief moment, time dissolves its chains:
No sickness, sorrow, death, or pain -
Just life that hums in hidden veins.

The endless blue descends like silk and balm,
Its gentle weight a pulse of healing calm.
Light flickers soft across our idle sleeves,
And stirs a hush that nature weaves.

Here, resin-sweet with lemon drifting light,
The forest whispers us to sleep at night.
Leaves murmur low — a lullaby of grace,
A sanctuary folded in this place.

The soaring trunks burn gold against the blue,
Our hands beneath our heads, the world anew.
Our widened gaze, unguarded, clear and still -
A calm horizon rising past the hill.

Beyond the branches waits a silver sea,
Its waves rise higher than the tallest tree.
They spill bright sparks - small living gleams -
From stirred-up depths and secret streams.

At sunset, tugboats trail a molten thread -
A shimmer poured from dying daylight's bed.
It gleams like fish-oil on the rippling foam,
Amber and mist - night's honeycomb.

The moon drifts in and hides the fading trails -
White magic in the surf, black magic in the swells.
The sea grows loud; a silent crowd appears,
Gathered by a sign blurred through the years -
While all remains enchanted, still, and near.
