Symphony of Goodbyes

A cycle of poems «Your Melody of Heartache»

Under the streetlight, shadows softly fall,
I hear a whisper, the echo of it all.
Moments unravel, threads of you and I,
This silent midnight, our symphony of goodbyes.

Every note we played, a promise in disguise,
Now the harmony fades, replaced by heavy sighs.

Symphony of goodbyes,
Crashing like thunder through our skies,
Dancing in the ruins of our lies,
Can you hear the broken cries,
In this symphony of goodbyes?

We built our future in the lines of a song,
Believed we’d find forever, but I guess we were wrong.
The verses grew colder with every try,
Now love’s just a memory passing us by.

Every note we played, a promise in disguise,
Now the harmony fades, replaced by heavy sighs.

Symphony of goodbyes,
Crashing like thunder through our skies,
Dancing in the ruins of our lies,
Can you hear the broken cries,
In this symphony of goodbyes?

I count the losses by the flicker of light,
Every echo’s haunting in the depth of the night.
Your voice still lingers, but hope’s out of sight,
The melody lingers, but nothing feels right.

If I could hold you once more,
Rewrite our tune, heal what we tore,
But the silence is louder than tears we concealed,
The music has ended, the truth is revealed.

Under the streetlight, I let the past slide,
Alone with the silence I’ve tried to deny.
One final refrain as the memory dies -
You were my song - now it’s just goodbyes.
