Eternal Vow of the Wild
No candles burned, no choirs filled the air;
No golden arches crowned our unseen aisle,
But love’s eternal flame, steadfast and wild.
By moonlit pines our sacred vow was sealed,
Where mist and stars in silver threads revealed;
The wind intoned a dark melodic plea,
And ravens echoed back our destiny.
While cliffs kept watch beneath the moon’s cold gleam,
Our bed was carved of freedom’s boundless dream;
Where love and liberty, through breath and bone,
Rose with the stars to claim our vow alone.
No kin, no friends—yet storm-born spirits cried,
As heaven’s thunders through the wild replied;
The tempest roared in primal, echoing grace,
And earth and sky danced time within their embrace.
Red clouds released their crimson tears in streams;
The forests swayed through ancient, drunken dreams;
The oaks, in slumber bowed, stood hushed and deep,
While storm winds laughed till dawn broke heaven’s sleep.
Till sunrise poured its gold through fading night -
No chains of duty, no command or rite;
The East blushed soft beneath the newborn flame,
And nature woke, transformed, in glory’s name.
Now fields don emerald robes at morning’s call;
The hills arise in sunlight’s shining thrall;
The whispering woods proclaim their anthem strong—
In nature’s cradle, we-eternal - belong.
