Ignorance is God's prison,
Knowledge is his palace.
Though the prison might seem pleasing,
once you step into God’s palace,
because with God’s palace
comes responsibilities and duties.
So you’d find the prison to be pleasing
only if you can’t keep up
with the upkeeping of the palace’s beauty.
Once you step into God’s palace,
you lose all excuses for not acting right
with all your passions and desires.
You’d have to put up a fight
if you want to find your delight in God’s sight.
You should know that
with knowledge comes responsibilities.
If you don’t want this burden,
then leave this gathering,
for neither rumors nor hearsay are condoned here.
And knowledge is only a rumor
until it lives in the body.
