True power!

Back when I was still in the middle school,
I loved reading Greek and Roman stories —
About incredible willpower, force, and cool,
That were inherent in their greater heroes!

I really wanted to make myself such a hero,
And didn't forget idea of becoming badass;
But to become stronger from a zero,
Need hardest training with a very heavy mass.

So I started working on my body to retool,
In hope of finding more than shining glories;
And hardest training — diving into icy water pool —
Didn't bring me anything except more euphories!

I walked towards my goal like greatest Nero,
Crushed, changed my mind and body like a glass...
And finally, one day I felt it: "I'm a real superhero!"
Became stronger than a Cretan bull — and very sass!

For me now, any of the ancient heroes is a weak fool;
I can uproot old trees, destroin walls, and drain seas!
If I'm look at bandits — they starting crying, drool...
Forgive me my endlessly banal allegories;

And it doesn't matter how it sounds bizarro:
Yet I can even challenge the Olympus gods, surpass!
But shame — no Greek myth warned me, sitting in the latro*,
How hard will it be now to wipe my muskul ass...

*latro (from Latin latrina - restroom)

Never give up!
