WE RUSSIANS CAN'T
PART WITH THIS OUR RUSSIA.


Russia has many holes. -
To patch them, -
Can't be mended.
And only kitchen
conversations
From us Russians,
Can't be taken away.
In them, we discuss
All the troubles
of our native land
With loyal friends
And with them together,
After drinking a shot,
We snack
On mushroom pie.
Having parted,
Until we meet again,
We sacredly guard
Amicably and habitually
Our tongues, timidly,
Behind our teeth,
Lest we be,
God forbid,
Be beaten
With whips
And even,
Living for years
In neighboring
Countries of the Commonwealth
of Independent States or
"Abroad,"
We cherish this tradition.

Лев ПОСТОЛОВ

У НАС, У РОССИЯН,
РОССИЮ ЭТУ НАШУ

Есть у России
Много дырок. -
Латать их, -
Не перелатать.
И лишь кухонных
Разговоров
У россиян, нас,
Не отнять.
В них обсуждаем мы
Все беды
Родной страны
С друзьями верными
И с ними вместе,
Выпив стопку,
Закусываем
Пирогом с грибами.
Расставшись же,
До новой встречи
Свято храним
Дружно, привычно
Язык свой, рОбя,
За зубами,
Чтоб не быть,
Боже упаси,
Быть битым
БатогАми.
И даже,
Живя годами
В соседних
Странах СНГ ли,
За бугром, -
Традицию мы эту
Бережем.
