The city wakes in neon glow,
Cars rush by, a silent flow.
Lost in this lonely, pulsing beat,
Dancing with shadows on the street.

A fleeting memory in the water's sheen,
Your fading footsteps, barely seen.
But the wind whispers your name so clear,
I see you in every corner here.

Lights are flashing, time slips away,
No turning back from this night, no way.

Like a dream I could never truly be.

Taxis blur with the tavern's light,
Golden shadows tempt me to step inside.
