A mother came to a sage one day:
"When should I teach my child the way?"
The sage replied, with a piercing look:
"How old is your child?" — "Already five," she shook.
"Five years?! You’ve waited far too long!
The time is gone, the moment’s strong.
What’s lost can never be returned,
The lesson’s harsh, but it must be learned."
She ran back home without delay,
To mend the time she threw away.
Remember, parents, the truth is clear:
Teach from the start, from the cradle, dear.
Never too soon… never too soon…
