Once in a while

Once in a while, on the darkest days of the year, there was a time, when all the little grasshoppers, that lived in the garden of Everlasting Wonder gathered together to greet the God of Fruit, who passed by their place each year. Each grasshopper wanted to be the one to bring blessings to their land. This year, the little Mitto was chosen and he was preparing with all his powers, he did everything he could to bring as much as he could.

When the time came and the night was dark, the grasshoppers came to the place to witness the god they believed in. Little Mitto was terrified, it was his first time doing the job every one of his friends wanted.

Suddenly, a little dazzling light came through the clouds and they saw something unbelievable: a banana peel was flying to their land. The grasshoppers were witnessing the wonder they had been waiting for so long: food falling out of nowhere, right from the sky.

Little Mitto was almost there. He was ready to start dragging the banana peel towards their houses, but all of a sudden, he heard a female voice saying: “George, take this peel and throw it to the trash can, don’t make a mess in the park”.

The grasshopper was devastated.
