Let s get a glass of wine

Поэтический перевод произведения «Налейте же вина»,
автор исходника на русском языке – [Сергей Ворошилов]

Let’s get some glass of wine, I’m happy with your presence,
Let’s have some glass of wine, this gimp-time to dese;rt,
And think back to the time, when wingy adolescence
With husky corncrake’s croak, kept all us on alert.

Let’s get some glass of booze, today I want to hear,
My buddies to birds’ croak, and frogs’ placating band.
Let us rejuvenate, to froggy quacking jeer,
And slowly till the dawn, each other understand.

Let’s have some liquor too, to make our feelings joyful,
And conversation will, perk up at festive lawn,
You hear that again, mysterious and rueful,
As tramping corncrake still, keeps croaking on days gone.

This talking is of trite, but friend makes journeys brighter.
The corncrake gets perturbed, the quietude gets thick.
Let’s go beyond the thorp, of old, in light of nighter,
And strings of a guitar, perform love-crying trick.

We’ll go beyond the thorp, across the country surely,
By very lane that runs, in withies under moon,
Where made my farewell, to very touchy girlie.
Let’s touch a place to dwell, that sings a native tune.

So, let’s knock back a pint… I’m pleased that you’re around,
We’ll make our thoughts so bright, with angentry thereon…
Let’s think back to the time, from dusk’s decaying sound,
And snugly conversate, until the early dawn.
