Children of Decadence s Blues

We were born in velvet shadows,
Raised on wine and sin,
Danced through halls of poison,
With fire beneath our skin.
Gold dripped from our fingers,
But love was never true,
We kissed with broken promises,
And bathed in bitter blue.

The doctors came with silence,
The priests with empty grace,
But no one cures the sickness
That hides behind the face.

We laughed at death in moonlight,
We mocked the holy flame,
But now we rot in silence,
And no one speaks our name.

So pour one for the fallen,
For the ghosts in silk and lace,
We were children of decadence,
Now gone without a trace.
