A mirror reflecting me.

The smile—our eyes show up it all.
It feels like we've known each other for eternity
There’s no mistaking,

Once, I asked God

And He brought me you.

Brighter than a thousand worlds,
Burning us to ashes in an instant.
A union that outside found no path,
Exploded within the universe
Of unfulfilled hope.
Our hearts shattered under the weight

Masks, beliefs, and control fall away.
Touching the soul depth,

Inside that comfortable shell.

In a different light,

Or sorrow.
