I greet the dawn and have a happy smile,
Delighted by the colors in the skies.
And it seems all this fragile world, the while,
Has frozen in my dreams before my eyes.
My darling husband at this dawning hour
Bestows on me a kiss so soft and deep.
And whispers of his love's most sacred power,
While golden, warming sunbeams gently creep.

I thank my God, I thank him for it all,
For every single breath and every hour.
That in my heart there is no bitter gall,
For light that shines on me with gentle power.
I thank him for my husband, for my friend,
For all support and for his endless love.
That he will hold my hand until the end,
And brings me happiness from high above.

Though youth has flown away just like a bird,
My life is full of meaning, clear to see!
I have my dear and precious ones, my word,
I bring good news for all the world to be.

With nature's everlasting, pure a glory
My soul is filled completely, through and through.
And with a smile and with a dream of placatory,
I greet the coming day, with love anew.
