What truly is love?

What truly is love?
How do we speak of it?
Is there a word that can truly convey its meaning?

It’s the whisper of leaves, trembling in the breeze,
And a sunbeam that breaks through the clouds with ease.
It’s a flash, illuminating the darkest night,
A flowing stream of pure and gentle light, from the heart.

It’s tears and laughter, moments of joy and pain,
That which heals deep wounds, easing every stain.
And sometimes saves us from despair and fall,
The grace that grants forgiveness to us all.

How do we express love?
Is there a precise word,
That truly can capture what its essence has stirred?

Love’s not in loud words, nor promises so vain,
It’s in a gentle touch, in silent, whispered vows confessing.
In eyes that understand without a single question,
That shine much brighter than a thousand stars' bright blessing.

In silence that profoundly speaks more than mere words can say,
In honesty, with no pretense to betray.
In actions, true support, a smile that lights the way.

So how do we tell of love?
And how find words to say?

Perhaps that word's no sound, no line upon a page,
But a moment frozen on lips, ready to bravely engage,
Ready to cry out: ‘I am here, forever by your side!’
And then the Soul takes flight to soar among the skies,
To that world where once our spirits were allied.
Its name is LOVE.

So what truly is this love?
It is life.
It is everything.
Don't search for words.
Just let it deeply feel.
It’s here within us.
Eternal, ever real.
Every moment, every hour, its presence will reveal.
