The lohness lake tango
I’m on ships deck — no place to go.
No eyes but mine have seen her face,
The gentle Nessie, gone without trace.
Her neck is long, her body glowing,
She moved with grace, her spirit flowing.
One glance, one smile, then down she fell
To waters deep. A silent farewell.
My hands were torn from holding tight
for the ship’s rail. My soul took flight.
I screamed so loud, it broke my chest:
“Nessie! I'm yours! Don't leave me like the rest!”
Psych ward... I'm behind the glass.
I watch the rain, I watch it pass...
They say I'm lost, but I will wait.
One day we’ll meet…. Or maybe it’s too late.
They say I'm crazy, but I will
wait.
One day we'll meet... Or maybe
it's too late.
