Dynamics in Calmness

In the evening, I sit alone, a candle burning bright.
Silence all around, only sounds beyond the window’s sight.
I could sit forever like this, in quiet stillness deep,
Warming myself with candlelight, its gentle heat to keep.

Light flows forth from its source, dispersing shades of night.
It’s not afraid to tell itself the truth in plain daylight.
Thoughts become much clearer when you’re honest with your soul,
Not yesterday or tomorrow — but here and now, the whole.

When you don’t run within the stream of endless troubles’ tide,
Not racing others or yourself, no need to rush or hide.
When love’s the only captive state, selfless and profound,
Granting peace and rescue, where true calmness can be found.

When you don’t seek who’s to blame for all that’s going ‘round,
Aware and improving, grateful, accepting what is found.
When you see life’s closed circle is shaped by your own hands,
Not by those on the sidelines, but by your own commands.

Knock-knock — do you hear your heart’s steady beat?
It has not forgotten how to love,
Though it has learned to suffer deep.
Step-step — keep pace with life’s own rhythm:
To love is to create,
And what you build, give away.

Knock-knock — do you hear your heart’s steady beat?
It has not forgotten how to love,
Though it has learned to suffer deep.
Step-step — keep pace with life’s own rhythm:
To love is to create,
And what you build, give away.

Day by day, time slips away like water through your hands.
They say time always wins against the fate it commands.
You’re not the same as once you were, nor she you used to be.
And we are no longer where we once were free.

The race of time cannot be stopped or made to wait...
If you fall behind, catching up is far too late.
If you rush too fast — you’ll miss the mark and lose your aim.
Miss March and April’s waiting game will be your claim.
