Teach Me How to Grieve

Teach me how to grieve with grace,
Not to sigh and hide goodbye,
Not to let a trembling trace
Show the silence deep inside.

Not with tears, but with a word,
Like the sunset’s fading light,
No more touches, no return
To the dreams we held so tight.

Let the sorrow pass me by,
Like a memory, soft and kind.
Let it speak, but not as cry —
Just a spark of peace in mind.

Let no glance, no breath accuse,
Let hope shine above the fall.
Not a hint we’re bound to lose,
But love — bright, eternal, tall.

Let the pain be not a fight,
But a truth I learn to see.
Guide me gently through the night —
Teach me how to grieve... and be free.
