My Wondrous Flower
Their gentle scent fills up the room.
Their beauty is a stunning sight,
Like gems of multi-colored light.
But the most wondrous bud I see
Is not a rose or peony and daisy
Among these flowers so divine,
My angel, you alone can shine.
More tender than a rose you are,
Your scent is sweeter from afar.
You are the flower in my fate,
More lovely than a rose so great.
You have all that my heart desires,
What my own yearning soul requires:
The wisdom of a quiet dusk,
And kindness, shedding sorrow's husk.
The beauty of your soul inside
Shines brighter than a pearl with pride.
In you, I hear the voices call
From childhood dreams I now recall.
You are my shelter, my delight,
My truest friend, my guiding light.
And nothing more I need to ask,
Now your happiness is my task
