Staunch Donald Trump ally and representative of Georgia, Marjorie Taylor Greene, has found herself at odds with the president after the U.S. bombed three Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday.

Taking to X, Greene blasted Trump for joining Israel in its conflict against Iran.

"Every time America is on the verge of greatness, we get involved in another foreign war," she wrote on the social media site. "There would not be bombs falling on the people of Israel if Netanyahu had not dropped bombs on the people of Iran first."

"Israel is a nuclear-armed nation," she added. "This is not our fight."

Greene concluded the tweet by saying that "peace is the answer." The Republican then sent a second tweet.

"Let us join together and pray for the safety of our U.S. troops and Americans in the Middle East," she said. "Let us pray that we are not attacked by terrorists on our homeland after our border was open for the past 4 years, and over 2 million gotaways came in."

Once again, the Georgia rep signed off her tweet with an urging for peace. Some of her followers were not amused. "When did MTG become a left wing progressive liberal?" one person questioned.

"Vehemently disagree with you on this one. Really shocked, honestly, that this is your permission," a second person said. "I trust my President to do what we hired him to do and so far it isn't him letting us down," a third person added. "Reevaluate your stance and back our President."

Greene's slamming of Trump comes after she sided with former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, who accused the U.S. president of being “complicit” in Israel’s strikes on Iran. Greene came out in support and defended the conservative political commentator, who hosted Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News from 2016 to 2023.

She praised Carlson for reflecting her own political beliefs, writing, “He unapologetically believes the same things I do,” even after he publicly challenged Trump. She praised Carlson, describing him as “one of my favorite people" and went on to add, “He fiercely loves his wife, children, and our country.”

“That if we don’t fight for our own country and our own people, then we will no longer have a country for our children and our grandchildren," the congresswoman wrote. "And foreign wars/intervention/regime change put America last, kill innocent people, are making us broke, and will ultimately lead to our destruction."

Greene said her stance was representative of what “millions of Americans voted for.” Earlier this week, the controversial rep issued a stark warning that any U.S. involvement in the Middle East conflict could “fracture” Donald Trump’s nationwide support.

She said, “Pray for our troops. Pray for the innocent people in Israel and Iran. Pray that we aren’t attacked on our homeland after our border was open for 4 years and millions of people and millions of gotaways came in. War has bad consequences. We voted for America First.”
