We met by glance — the lilacs bloomed,
Spring whispered softly in the air.
A spark between our souls had loomed —
And opened up a world so rare.
The world stood still, or so it seemed,
Each sound dissolved into the skies.
The stars above us softly gleamed —
And friends were lost in time's disguise.
In velvet shade of cobalt blue,
Like Eve and Adam, we were new.
No one but us — the world was made
For just our hearts, and Eden stayed.
Entwined in soul, entwined in skin,
You were the peace I craved within.
We let the tide of passion rise —
And saw the dawn in each other's eyes.
We flew so high, we touched the flame,
One breath, one body, both the same.
As gods of love, we dared to be —
If just for one eternity.
And on the edge of Eden's grace,
We stayed, untouched by time or place.
No wish to leave, no need to flee —
The world was gone — just you and me.
