Пить или не пить? - вот в чём вопрос!

Задать себе вопрос изволь,
Когда ты глаз на глаз с своим бокалом
Чему же может научить  сей алкоголь?
Где в нем конец , и где в нем есть начало?

И первое хотел бы изложить:
Знать сколько, что, когда и с кем  ты хочешь пить!
И прежде чем кому то доверять
Себя необходимо лучше знать.

Второе что хотел бы изложить
Испробуй , что хотел бы обсудить
Не соглашайся говорить чего не знаешь
Когда, кого, и с кем ты обсуждаешь.

А в третьих , прежде чем проверить это
Расставь  бокалы и расставь приоритеты.
И прежде чем откроешь то что пьёшь
Определись :ты отдыхаешь или врешь.

В четвертых уважай года и возраст
В жару, в прохладу , в холода
К тому с кем пьешь и что, прими серьезно
След оставляет всё, везде , всегда

Мотай на ус  , о том гласит пункт пятый
Закусывай всегда, а не когда-то
К напитку - нужно точно понимать
Когда, что, приготовить и подать.

Шестое правило просто- запомни четко
Имеет смысл время , место, обстановка
Среда к тому должна всегда располагать
Где нужно говорить или смолчать.

Всё что ты пьёшь , в том правило седьмое,
Прими в пределах нормы как лекарство
Предел незримый  между буйством и покоем
Меж удовольствием во благо или пьянством.

Восьмой пункт расставляет все по полкам
Всегда следи за тем что пьешь и с чем мешаешь
От бесконтрольного питья немного толку,
Когда ты градус от спиртного  понижаешь.

Забудь про руль и про оружие пункт девятый
Хотя он первым должен следовать порядком
Сними свой нимб, ты будешь вечно виноватым
Оставь всё дома , после празднуй  без оглядки.

First, mark thee well: what, when, and with whom thou shalt drink,
And trust not light in others, nor too soon.
Ere thou in others' confidences sink,
Know thy own soul, as stars precede the moon.

Second, taste ere thou dost speak or judge,
Let not thy tongue outrun thy tempered thought.
For idle words shall leave a heavy smudge,
And speech untried is often dearly bought.

The third: ere thou dost open what is sealed,
Let goblets stand in order, will in place.
Decide if thou dost seek the truth revealed,
Or mask thyself in mirth’s deceitful face.

Fourth: honour age, the seasons and the day —
In heat, in frost, in tempest or in calm.
Take heed of what thou drink’st, and with whom stay,
For every draught bears seed of balm or harm.

Fifth: set not thy board with drink alone, but meat,
Let not thy feast be void of sober fare.
For where no bread doth noble wine entreat,
There creeps the folly born of thin-spun air.

The sixth: remember time and place and mood,
For not all halls are fit for jest or tale.
Let silence reign where mirth were deemed too rude,
And know when speech must falter, lest it fail.

The seventh law: let every cup be bound
By reason’s hand, as leech would mix a draught.
For pleasure walks where temperance is found,
But madness waits in overzealous craft.

The eighth: mix not thy wines with reckless hand,
Lest chaos rise where harmony should sit.
Let not thy cup become a burning brand,
Nor temp thy fate with folly ill-befit.

And ninth, though last — let it be first in weight:
Take not the reins, nor draw the blade in jest.
Lay down thy pride, lest thou invite thy fate —
Stay thou at home, and let the night bring rest.
