Under the Sky with Black Moon
It swiftly changed its hue,
Above my head clouds gaily dance,
Their corroboree was new.
My soul in love did suffer pain,
Found peace it could not do.
Like blossoms on a sodden hill,
They couldn’t die too soon.
Nourished by fateful moisture deep,
A whip selects its mark.
So souls may bear but cannot keep
This cruel heartbreak stark.
Above my head clouds gaily dance,
Their corroboree was new.
The sky with blackest moon once bright,
Now darker shade turned too.
