I ll Sleep
There's a hint of tender sorrow,
Of gentle grief and dreams aglow,
An uncertain hope for dawn tomorrow,
Bidding farewell to the fleeting rays
In a final glance at parting day.
I'll hide from the Sun among starry worlds,
In the dark well of ghostly dreams unfurled.
Behind walls of houses frozen in night,
Amidst sleepless cities’ city lights,
Perhaps I'll sleep for thousands of years tonight,
To greet another beautiful dawn that's right.
