XVI. The Tower
A simmering hiss
Bubbling blisters full of fire burn inside
Wish
One wish granted, please!
In this moment, grim and dire, I can't hide
An all seeing eye
A promise of love
A hope to be lost and forgiven
I'm barbed in the wire
And tossed from above
And ripped off all I have been given
Oh the wire digs deep
Blackened sun burns mad
And with each drop of blood I lose dreams that I've had
Fire down below
Licking heart to death
Stripping me of my being, drawing out last breath
And the voice from nethermost
Calls out my name
You'll never be the same again
Your pleasure and your pain
Are gone forever
Lean in for the last kiss with the abyss
Fire
The sizzling desire
To strip you to bones and play with
Liar
Your heart is a liar
It says you can win and finish the monomyth
But you have never been there
You just never were
And you have never left my warm embrace
Oh, I have always been here
I'm here to ensure
You that all your journeys—past and future—are written in my face
And then the burning eyes
So close and yet so distant
And circling fireflies trace aura of the Sun
Is this the truth of lies?
A being nonexistent?
The riddle of the world that two is never one?
I don't believe you!
But you're still mine!
And the voice from nethermost
Still calls my name
I'll never be the same again
My pleasure and my pain
Are gone forever
Lean in for the last kiss with the abyss
Burn me, turn me into nothing
I will hold until I die
Memories of distant offering
To become I can't deny
Hold me, scold me fire that cleanses
Bring me down so I can fly
Rob me of my self and senses
Leave one thing I can't deny
So I lean in for the last kiss with the abyss
