Loneliness
Empty streets and red traffic lights,
My hands grip tight on black steering wheel,
I can't shake this restless, that now I feel.
Night radio music fills up the air,
These streets lead me right back like flair,
To where we said our last word "goodbye"
And now I am watching the time on the fly.
The wheels keep turning but going nowhere
Round and round again, but going nowhere
Miles on the dash don't mean a damn thing,
When every road leads me to same old ring.
Gas station coffee is getting too cold,
Play out the scenes from days of old,
When we said "Let's wait and then will see"
Then I've been awaiting, but you left me.
I could drive ahead until tank runs dry,
Cross intersection and different lines,
But this feeling riding like shotgun with me,
And I can not shake it, can't set it free.
Each street signs point the way back to home,
But home ain't home when you are alone,
The radio station plays my favorite song
Remind me everything that going wrong.
