Black Diamond
For a thousand years, it lay beneath,
Heaps of stone and barren earth.
A simple rock, plain to see—
Black diamond, nature’s birth.
Years passed by, a wanderer unknown
Picked up a piece of joy from the ground.
His heart could not contain it alone—
Terror in his eyes, thirst for power unbound.
But then the man found strength inside,
Shared his fortune, gave it away.
At once, the world was filled with light,
Laughter rose where tears once lay.
People walking, watch your feet,
Don’t turn your eyes from dirt or dust.
You might find the joy you seek—
You might find a black diamond’s trust.
