Был звездой до небес, без всякой завесы.

Он в тавернах играл, в шумных залах трактиров,
С народом пил эль и славу копил.
Разбогатев, он построил Глобус без эфиров,
За двадцать лет, сорок пьес сотворил.

Писал он комедии, драмы, про страсть,
Елизавета к двору приглашала.
После спектакля- веселье и страсть,
И пара, что в пляс до рассвета скакала.

В шестнадцатом году, в спектакле «Генрих Пятый»,
Огонь вспыхнул, театр сгорел.
Без страховки, удар, времена были хватки,
Он в деревню ушёл, от столицы отпел.

Умер спустя он всего пару лет —
Так кончил великий Шекспира сюжет.

Translation:
His works appealed to all classes,
He acted in and directed much of his plays.
He spoke the language of the masses,
He was the first superstar of his day.

Touring in taverns or public houses, with the crowd drinking beers,
Becoming extremely rich and building the Globe,
He wrote nearly forty plays in twenty years,
Moving to London and wearing fine robes.

Comedy, drama, and tales of love— he wrote them all.
Elizabeth the First had his plays shown at her court.
After the plays, they all had a grand ball,
Getting merry and needing an escort.

In 1613, while performing Henry V, pyrotechnics set the Globe on fire.
No insurance in those days, it hit him hard.
Leaving London and returning to his shire,
He died a few years later, a sad end for the great Bard.
