Clenched fist, knuckles white, holding on so tight
To a memory, a dream, fading in the night
I built a cage of should-haves and what used to be
Locked myself inside, unable to break free

The wind is whispering secrets through the leaves
Telling me it's time to plant new seeds
But fear is a shackle, heavy on my soul
Afraid to lose control, afraid to lose it all

But letting go, it ain't a fall, it's unfurling wings
Trusting the currents, listening to what the future sings
It's releasing the grip, the pain, the ache, the blame
Embracing the unknown, whispering my name

I see the faces blurred, of people I have known
Dragging anchors back, where seeds of doubt were sown
They say, 'Stay safe, stay here, don't risk the unknown flight'
But my heart is pounding, craving a different light

And choosing to believe in a brighter, brand new day
