Balmont K. Light - dark

Characteristically light, dark-lined –
Such was the dress she had on.
We bo-peeped as she riddled my mind
’Twixt many springings of dawn.

Thereupon, under the dome of Night,
Stars into flowers merged.
Scores of attractors, all vivid and bright,
Bound in blackness, emerged.

Tales – the chilling, the luscious entwined –
By the minute grew wan.
Characteristically white, dark-lined –
Too snug a dress she had on.
