Spark of Light
The world felt gray, a muted scene
A canvas washed with endless rain, it seemed
My heart was heavy, a stone within my chest
Just going through the motions, putting life to the test
But then I saw it, a spark of light ignite
A tiny ember in the darkest night
A flicker of hope, a whisper in the breeze
A promise of sunshine rustling through the trees
Maybe it was a smile from a stranger on the street
Maybe it was the rhythm of my hurried, weary feet
Maybe it was a kindness, a word of gentle grace
That lifted up the burden and put a smile on my face
And then I saw it, a spark of light ignite
A tiny ember in the darkest night
A flicker of hope, a whisper in the breeze
A promise of sunshine rustling through the trees
It doesn't take a blinding flash, a monumental thing
Just a little glimmer, hope on fragile wing
To remind you that the darkness doesn't always win
And beauty can be found where shadows linger in
And then I saw it, a spark of light ignite
A tiny ember in the darkest night
A flicker of hope, a whisper in the breeze
A promise of sunshine rustling through the trees
Now I'm fanning the flame, letting it grow wide
This spark of light, my compass and my guide
And I'll share the warmth, let it brightly shine
A reminder that a new day is always mine.
A spark of light, forever intertwined.
