Text on my phone, a simple goodbye
Shattered my world, beneath a clear sky
Didn't see it coming, never felt the shift
Just a sudden ending, a cruel, cold gift

Thought I knew love, thought I had it all
Now I'm staring blankly at this crumbling wall
Guess I was naive, thought we'd always be
Now I'm picking up the pieces, learning painfully

Lessons in heartbreak, a curriculum of pain
Each tear a lecture, engraved into my brain
How to survive the silence, how to mend a broken trust

Friends all try to comfort, say it wasn't meant to be
But their words are echoes, lost inside of me
Walking through the city, where we used to roam
Every corner whispers, 'You're walking alone'
