Shattered Reflections

A cycle of poems «Your Fragments of a Broken Heart»

Sunrise through a dusty pane, paints shadows on the floor
Another day begins the same, behind this bolted door
I catch my face in fragments there, a mosaic of despair
Shattered reflections everywhere, a life beyond repair

Shattered reflections, scattered light, a broken image stares
Lost in the darkness of the night, consumed by hidden snares
Piece by piece, I try to find, the person I used to know
Leaving all the pain behind, and learning how to grow

Each shard a memory I hold, a moment etched in glass
Some are brilliant, brave, and bold, others fade so fast
The laughter, love, and victories won, now mingle with the sting
Of battles lost and damage done, a melancholic spring

Shattered reflections, scattered light, a broken image stares
Lost in the darkness of the night, consumed by hidden snares
Piece by piece, I try to find, the person I used to know
Leaving all the pain behind, and learning how to grow

Maybe broken doesn't mean the end, just a different point of view
A kaleidoscope, a chance to mend, and make something brand new
I trace the edges, sharp and keen, of what I used to be
And gather up the pieces seen, a future waiting for me

Shattered reflections, scattered light, a broken image stares
Lost in the darkness of the night, consumed by hidden snares
Piece by piece, I try to find, the person I used to know
Leaving all the pain behind, and learning how to grow

No longer hiding in the shade, I step out into the sun
A mosaic masterpiece is made, my healing's just begun
Shattered reflections fade away, rebuilt with strength and grace
A brighter future starts today, in this brand new time and space.
