Silent Screams
The walls are closing in, a paper thin facade
Smiling face, a perfect game, but underneath, I'm flawed
A pressure builds inside, a weight I can't explain
Each breath a conscious effort, to mask the rising pain
These are the silent screams, that echo in my soul
A fractured heart, a broken dream, taking its heavy toll
No one can hear the thunder, the lightning in my head
Trapped inside this lonely slumber, wishing I was dead
I walk among the living, a ghost in disguise
Searching for a lifeline, reflected in their eyes
But everyone's so busy, lost in their own world
My silent plea unnoticed, a banner left unfurled
These are the silent screams, that echo in my soul
A fractured heart, a broken dream, taking its heavy toll
No one can hear the thunder, the lightning in my head
Trapped inside this lonely slumber, wishing I was dead
I try to find the words, to break the heavy chain
But fear and doubt consume me, whispering my name
Afraid of judgment, ridicule, the pity in their stare
So I keep it buried deep, this burden I must bear
These are the silent screams, that echo in my soul
A fractured heart, a broken dream, taking its heavy toll
No one can hear the thunder, the lightning in my head
Trapped inside this lonely slumber, wishing I was dead
Is there a way to silence, the voices in my mind?
To find a little solace, and leave this pain behind?
Or am I doomed to wander, this solitary road
With silent screams forever, the heaviest of loads.
