A whisper soft, meant oh so much
My guard was down, I couldn't see
The serpent hiding, waiting for me

Emerald eyes, a captivating gleam
Lost in a hopeless, waking dream
Drawn to the fire, a moth in flight
Blind to the darkness, veiled in light

A sweet surrender, where trust was hung
